A little lime. A little salt.

Happy Cinco de Mayo. This morning's trivia on KOIT:

Q: What year was Tequila first brought into the US?

A: 1873

Nirvana for tequila lovers in San Francisco HAS to be Tommy's Mexican on Geary.  So the 38  Geary Muni bus can pick you up right outside. Hundreds and hundreds of different styles and brands of the distilled nectar of the agave plant. Which by the way, is a lily not a cactus. Though you'd never know it by looking at one:

As we mentioned this morning, Matter of Trust, a Bay Area non-profit is collecting hair - human or animal - to send to the Gulf to aid in the oil cleanup. Once they receive the clippings, they make mats out of them that are apparently super absorbent, and can soak up the muck pretty quickly. If you're a salon, and would like to help, "head" over here.  Incidentally, The Boston Globe has some of the most awesome photos of this disaster at their site.

No, you weren't hearing things this morning. Bacon Camp WILL take place in San Francisco this weekend to benefit the San Francisco Food Bank. And, as promised, here's the info. Ummm. bacon.
