This morning's trivia on KOIT:

Q:  It was July first that NBC broadcast the first TV commercial. What was the product?

A:  Watches.  Bulova paid nine dollars for a commercial during a Dodgers/Phillies game on July 1st, 1941.  For some perspective, a thirty second TV ad during the 2010 Superbowl cost close to three million dollars.

A great idea...teaching special needs kids to surf...probably something that they'd never get a chance to do otherwise. It costs the camp $160 per camper, but they only charge a $50 registration fee.
