This morning's trivia on KOIT:
Q: Macrophobia is the fear of.......?
A: Long waits. Lunaediesophobia is the fear of Mondays, and I have it.
The Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society almost burned to the ground last week. It was a tragic loss that included some of the animals there. Their immediate need is for cash, and you can mail donations to the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society to:
BEBHA, 2700 9th St, Berkeley, 94710
If you have some time to become a foster pet parent for some of the surviving animals, you can get more info by clicking here.
Yup. That was Mark Twain we were talking about this morning. The one-time San Francisco newspaper reporter specified in his will that his autobiography not be released until 100 years after his death. Guess what. He died in April 1910. So that autobiography, all 5000 pages of unedited notes in a UC Berkeley vault, will be released sometime in November. Smart, smart man. This way we'll still be gossiping about him well into the 21st Century, and one source stated.
