If you're starved for some good economic news - I know I am - you'll be pleased to know that Fenton's Creamery in Oakland is doing well. Well, better than well. Business at the ice cream shop is up about 15 percent over last year. Of course it helps to have a great product. The fact that Fenton's stole a scene in the Pixar film "Up" also helped. Pixar staffers in Emeryville frequent the place, so it's no suprise that the iconic sweet shop made the final cut.
