Middle School! What do I do next???

Today, my daughter Ysabella is no longer a 5th grader!!  She was promoted to middle school (sigh)!!!  After the ceremony this morning all of the students went back to their classrooms to have an end of the year party.  I came back at 1pm to pick her up.  She and her friend Victoria were in tears!!  Many of the kids in the school that were newly promoted were crying.  It finally clicked that they will not be seeing many of their friends next year as some will be going to other middle schools in the district.  It was nice, as a parent, to see the kids hugging each other and showing one another that they care about each other too.  They even hugged some of the boys as they were in tears too.  They all plan to keep in touch with each other.  I hope they do.  Her friends are awesome.  Congratualations graduates on a job well done this year.  Good luck in the next chapter of your lives.
