North Bay Fires: Air Growing Unhealthy

By 965koit on October 12, 2017

The North Bay fires are on their way to becoming the deadliest and most destructive in California’s history. Winds up to 45 miles per hour today are supposed to set firefighters back and officials say they are going to be working for many, many more days.

Air quality levels are “unhealthy” in the East Bay and “unhealthy for sensitive” groups in San Francisco and the Peninsula. There is a ton of ash and particles in the air. Officials are urging people to stay indoors unless they have to go out. Masks are also being encouraged to be worn if you’re sensitive.

The air is expected to worsen today and tomorrow. Saturday might become the worst day for air quality because the smoke will be settling at that time.
