My Goals This Year
Every year I set "goals" instead of "resolutions" and I give myself the whole year to accomplish them. Instead of starting right at the beginning of the year and then failing about 10 days in. I found that it works a little better for me, although I don't always accomplish everything on the list, I do get at least some of them done. This year I have a few that I didnt get done last year and some that I try to do every year.
1. Learn Something New Every Month
I love learning new things and there are a ton of things I don't know. So each month I set out to learn a new trait or skill that I can use in the future. I don't have all 12 of them planned out just yet but a few of them are: Learn to play guitar, how to write a movie script and learn another language. There is always something to learn and I try to get as much in my tiny brain as I can.
2. Lose 50lbs
This one is unfortunately one of the few that I put on my list every year but never accomplish. Last year I came close and lost 35lbs so I considered it a half win. However, I still have at least 50 more pounds that I can lose. After just a week here in the city I feel more confindent than ever that this is the year I can get it done. With all the walking and healthy eating options in town its going to be much easier to stay on my diet and exercise plan.
3. Do Something I'll Remember Forever
Every year I believe you should do something that you will always remember. An adventure! Or maybe just something that touches your heart unlike anything before. Last year it was coming down to the wire until I got a call from Brian Figula, the boss here at 96.5 KOIT, offering me and my wife the job of a lifetime. This year could bring anything and I can't wait to see what I remember about 2017 for the rest of my life.
