With a little advanced planning and a visit to the farmer's market, or even the organic section of your grocery store, you can start each day with a nutritious and refreshing smoothie.  Here's a classic recipe that will support your new exercise routine and help your body recover from all that holiday eating.  Enjoy this simple green smoothie.

Ingredients

·         1 1/2 oz spinach

·         1 apple - chopped

·         1 cucumber

·         1/2 lemon - juiced

·         1/2 inch ginger - peeled

·         3 tbsp walnuts

·         3/4 cup water

·         1 cup crushed ice

Blend and enjoy!
